KIM Social Enterprise

KIM Inspire currently operates two Cafés run by staff and volunteers. One in Mold Crown Court and the other at the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.

Café KIM opened in the Heddfan psychiatric unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital in February 2011.  The café is run by a small staff team and a dedicated group of KIM volunteers. We are open to the public from 9.00am-4.00pm, Monday-Friday but are hoping to extend our hours in the future to meet customer needs. We offer a telephone order service to ensure there is no waiting time. We are also able to offer lunchtime buffets for large numbers of customers with a little advanced notice.

Our Mold Crown Court Cafe is open 9.00am – 2.00pm and provides lunches and refreshments for staff and visitors to the courts, including a pre-order service for witnesses and judges.

We are always looking for more volunteers to help out with the running of Café KIM and everyone is welcome. We provide appropriate training for KIM cafe volunteers so that they feel valued and well equipped for the role.  It is a great way of increasing confidence, gaining new skills and meeting people.
