KIM’s Neurodivergent Project, Kinetic by KIM is a ground breaking initiative that supports neurodivergent girls and young women facing severe distress, self-harm, or eating disorders linked to overlooked conditions like autism and ADHD.
The project offers trauma informed, one to one, neuro affirming coaching, family support, specialised groups and tailored courses for young girls and women aged 13 to 24 who live in Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire.
Support is open to those who have neurodivergent diagnoses, are on the waitlist waiting assessment and those who show neurodivergent indicators.
From evidence based research we have found that for many of the young women who seeking support for mental health issues there are further underlying issues, and finding the right support is really difficult.
We work closely with our clients to better understand their neurodivergence, what challenges may arise, how can we learn to offset/minimise the impact of these, identifying strengths and interests as a core foundation to live authentically and promote better emotional and mental wellbeing.
This is a peer led service, our trained and qualified staff have lived experience of Neurodivergence and raising Neurodivergent girls.
